Please hold onto me

1504019196102

I’m sorry that I’m such a complicated being.

That when you shower me with love, I feel underserving.

That when you plant seeds in my heart, they grow to suffocate me.

That I can never experience true happiness without a sense of dread.

But honey, please hold onto me.

Because the one thing that I will never have enough of,

is you.

It’s interesting how life is. Humanity desires to be loved yet is not satisfied with what it gets. My desire in life is to become love, the love of God, not just to be loved. When your goal is to be loved and then you’re not loved, your world falls apart. But when you become love, and the world doesn’t love you, then it doesn’t matter.

You write beautifully. I’m sorry you are feeling all the teenage angst. I’m also Asian, not a teen πŸ™,living in Canada. I’ve often wondered why my ancestors chose Canada instead of Australia or the U. S. And why Saskatoon instead of Vancouver or Toronto. I used to think it’s boring here, too. It’s good we have our writing.

Reblogged this on Sleeping Tiger and commented:
I just had to reblog this. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been involved in a romantic relationship but the emotional confusion in this poem, describes EXACTLY what I would go through with any man I got intimately close to.
