I remember the first day we met.
It was clear and sunny, the afternoon breeze rustling the leaves of the tree which you sat under.
A book in hand, and pen in the other. The studious kind, I supposed.
You flashed a grin and welcomed me by your side.
And in that moment, the icy walls of my soul melted.
It was that moment, when I said hello.
I remember our last days.
It was clear and sunny, warm against the skin.
We were back under that same tree from years ago.
The same book was in your hand. A different pen however, gifted by myself.
You flashed a grin and turned to walk away.
And in that moment, my soul shattered.
It was that moment, when I said goodbye.
